Training Facilities

When you arrive in Greater Zion, you’ll probably be looking for a place to train as you continue to taper before race day. With exceptional training facilities, like the indoor pool at Dixie State University and the unmatched beauty within Snow Canyon State Park, you won’t have to look very far. Below you’ll find some of the best places to get a practice swim, ride or run in before you toe the line on race morning.

Snow Canyon State Park

Take a ride through Snow Canyon State Park and get comfortable with the most intense, but equally as amazing climb on the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship St. George course. The park will also be offering complimentary access to World Championship athletes in the weeks leading up to race day.

Human Performance Center at Dixie State University

Athletes that provide proof of registration via an athlete bracelet or an IRONMAN regidtration email may use the training facilities at Dixie State University on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and from 5 - 10 p.m. and on Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Sand Hollow State Park

If you want to practice open water swimming in the reservoir where the race swim will be, Sand Hollow State Park will be offering complimentary access to World Championship athletes in the weeks leading up to race day.

Washington City Community Center

Featuring a state-of-the-art fitness facility with an indoor track, cardio and weight training equipment, this is a great place to get an all-around workout in before you put your body to the test.
